Acceptance rate isn't part of any major ranking's criteria, so it can't be used to "game" any rankings anyway. But NYU already dropped 10 spots in the US News rankings this year, so my guess is they saw a drop in the number of applications this year, which is why they haven't revealed the numbers yet.
