I really thought views were great (but yes slightly different) on both sides. What I will point out is we were 2nd in line and able to sit in the very front seat on the way up.

Train conductor was informative and funny in giving a guided presentation. Drink water on the way up to lessen effects of altitude. Train doesn't stop, but goes slow enough to take pictures.
